Together, they developed and implemented the first-ever Innovation Challenge, a pioneering “Shark Tank”-like pitch contest aimed at revolutionizing pain management. During the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Dr. Mayrshon led a team of physicians and medical students in the development, testing, mass production, and FDA application process of the Fixed Resistance Connector Valve (FRCV). In the early days of the pandemic, the team’s work was featured on CNN when they successfully converted a BiPAP machine into a ventilator. He and his colleagues later invented a device (FRCV) that converted standard Anesthesia breathing circuits into bipap breathing circuits. His device was later approved by the FDA and has treated over 3,000 patients in Honduras and India.
